If you were wondering, the brown thing with silver trim that looks like cabinets is a refrigerator. Very vintage! lol..
The door will be closed off and the standard refrigerator of today..lol..will be placed there.
One must-have for this house is a white apron-front farmhouse sink. I just love the cottage look. I guess that is why our blog is titled "The Barker Cottage" lol..
Laminate countertops..We are planning to do an engineered countertop in a dark brown color. The cabinets we would like to do in a shaker style white with oil rubbed bronze hardware. No upper cabinets right here...just want it open with pendant lights.
There will be a broom closet in that vented door.
This bar will be a sitting and serving bar without the built in counter cooktop. We are planning to paint the paneling a soft neutral color.
Buttercup wanted to be in the shot. This area beside the kitchen will be a breakfast nook.
This is where Oliver had his television. We are planning to turn it into a pantry.
We are looking at a dark brown engineered hardwood floor throughout the kitchen, breakfast nook area, dining room/living room, stairs, and bedrooms. Right now, there is carpet and laminate on this floor. It was a pleasant surprise, however, that all of the floors on this level are floating concrete.
I am not sure what kind of lighting will go here, but I know there will be an eating area here...maybe to sit and have tea :) This is the view from the front door entry.
Not sure if we can fit this in the budget right now, but I would love to have white custom cabinets built around this fireplace and a rustic looking dark brown mantel. I am just not really a fan of the tile.
